Download the WoW 3.3.5a Client
You need the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (build 12340) client. Retail or newer versions will not connect.

Version check: Make sure your client says
3.3.5a (12340) in the bottom-left corner of the login screen.2
Extract the Client
Unzip wow-client.zip anywhere. You'll get a folder like World of Warcraft\ containing Wow.exe.

Edit Config.wtf
Open World of Warcraft\WTF\Config.wtf in any text editor (Notepad works). Set these two lines:

Do not change the
patchlist line — leave it or remove it entirely.4
Launch the Game
Run Wow.exe from the client folder. Use your account credentials at the login screen.

Addons
Drop addon folders into World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\ then restart the client.
Compatibility: Addons must target WoW 3.3.5a. Retail (9.x / 10.x) addons will not load. Look for addons tagged "WOTLK" or "3.3.5".
GM Commands
